APRIL Hong Kong wins Marketing Initiative of the Year 2020 for Easy Claim

First launched in 2017 in Asia, the initial function of our Easy Claim app was to allow our insured members to submit their reimbursement requests in just a few clicks. In just three years, many new functions have been added to the app. Members can now search medical providers, download their insurance card, access their benefits, get in touch with a doctor... Unlike most insurance providers which require to install several apps to enjoy a wide variety of services, Easy Claim contains all services in one app only.

The evolution of the app echoes the need of our clients for easier, digital insurance processes. APRIL has been constantly following and adapting to the digitalisation of the insurance market. In addition, we have been collecting and analysing our customers feedback since the launch of the app to enhance their user experience and develop new features. Today, the app is rated 4.6 stars on App Store.

APRIL Singapore wins Service Initiative of the Year 2020 for the launch of TeleHEALTH

Following the outbreak of coronavirus in early 2020, APRIL International Care opened their new TeleHEALTH service to all their members to support them, accessible in one click on their Easy Claim app.

Members can submit a callback request on the app and a licensed healthcare practitioner will call them back within 3 hours to discuss any medical enquiries they may have. This service is provided by our health partner Teladoc Health who possesses a network of 50,000 licensed healthcare practitioners based around the world. Teladoc Health is currently servicing 35 million clients in more than 130 countries and in 30 languages.

In times like this, virtual care is a real asset and APRIL has been committed since the beginning of the outbreak to reassure its members during this stressful period and give them all the tools to protect their health. TeleHEALTH has been widely used in Singapore, with 49% of our Asia users coming from the City State.

Regional CEO of APRIL International Care Asia, Romain Di Meglio said: "The coronavirus outbreak has worried large numbers of people across Asia. Beyond the substantial resources being deployed to contain and control it, we believe it is our responsibility to contribute to the situation to the best of our capacities. Awareness, avoidance of panic effect and basic protective measures are key to resolving the situation. Whilst most will recover from flu like illnesses, we should always be especially vigilant when it comes to the elderly, people suffering from chronic conditions, newborns or pregnant women and this is where our TeleHEALTH facility might be particularly useful."
