Whether you’re looking for a top-up plan to cover the hospital bills your local hong kong health insurance won’t, or are looking for more complete coverage that you can take with you when leaving Hong Kong, you can build your plan to meet your needs.

Our MyHEALTH plans are designed to be modular, allowing you to add outpatient, maternity and dental/optical modules to your hospital and surgery cover. For each module, you can select one of three levels: Essential, Extensive and Elite. While Essential levels will cover you in the event of most illnesses and injuries, while higher levels like Extensive and Elite will cover increasingly wider varieties of benefits from major illnesses to daily expenses. MyHEALTH is a locally admitted international health insurance plan in Hong Kong, which means that both expats and local Hong Kong people alike can purchase the plan, provided they are 65 years old or under when applying. Additionally, if you have an international health insurance plan and want to change insurers, we can offer Continuous Personal Medical Exclusions (CPME), meaning you can maintain your level of protection when switching plans. No new medical questionnaire and no new pre-existing conditions to worry about.

Take a deductible on your inpatient module

To help you save money on your premiums, MyHEALTH Hong Kong comes with 4 deductible options you can take:

  • Nil
  • US$1,500
  • US$3,000
  • US$5,000
  • US$10,000

The deductible applies to the benefits covered under your hospitalisation & surgery coverage, so even if you're looking for an inpatient only plan, you can still take advantage of these cost-saving measures. This makes MyHEALTH Hong Kong ideal for use as a top up health insurance plan, such as for one provided by your employer, as any eligible benefit paid for by your primary plan would count towards your deductible.

Get co-insurance for your outpatient module

MyHEALTH Hong Kong also offers premium saving measures if you would like to include outpatient coverage in your plan, by adding a 20% co-insurance. However, this will impact your ability to make full use our direct billing network.

  • Nil co-insurance: you will be able to access participating medical providers for covered services, cash-free, throughout our Asia-wide direct billing network.
  • 20% co-insurance: you will still be able to use direct billing within our panel network, additionally when using these providers the 20% co-insurance will be waived.

If you choose this savings option for your plan, the 20% co-insurance will only apply to benefits that fall under your outpatient module.

To make accessing quality healthcare easier, we maintain a large and growing network of medical providers throughout Asia where you can receive cash-free services for covered treatments under your outpatient benefits.

  • Outpatient with nil co-insurance: members who select an outpatient module without co-insurance can make use of any provider that is part of our Asia-wide direct billing network.
  • Outpatient with 20% co-insurance: for members with 20% co-insurance on their outpatient module, you can still use our panel network where the co-insurance will be waived to receive cash-free treatment, billed directly to us.

Be proactive about your health with adult preventative screenings

All MyHEALTH Hong Kong plans now include coverage for preventive health screenings for adults, even if you only have hospitalisation & surgery benefits. So every member can now enjoy at least up to US$250 coverage for the following preventive health screenings:

  • Mammography for women 40 years old and above
  • Pap smears for women aged 19 years old and above
  • Prostate screenings for men aged 40 years old and above

Members who have either an Extensive or Elite outpatient module will also enjoy a substantial expansion of coverage for these and other preventive health screening benefits, including for children.

A wide range of emergency assistance services

Every MyHEALTH insurance plan comes with a complementary emergency assistance package managed by APRIL Assistance. This means that every plan member has access to extensive international medical and travel assistance, including:

  • Emergency medical evacuation and medically supervised repatriation, including by air ambulance
  • Dispatch of medication and medical equipment that is not available locally
  • Cash advance and other assistance in cases of lost or stolen personal effects abroad
  • A variety of other international medical and travel assistance services
